for AJJ - In my garden there is... no sense of time

For the wonderful challenge 'In my garden there is' over at AJJ that Yvonne is hosting this month.

If I go out to do something in my garden with the intention of spending half an hour or so I can be certain that an hour or so will pass before I think to check the clock.

For background used Aquamarkers and pan pastels. Stamps: various alpha & small grunge stamps, girl by 'Cherry Pie', Dandelions-unknown.

Didn't get much done last week as busy with appointments but while out had a nice walk down seafront in the sunshine.

There are various trees along the promenade and in the gardens there. I was surprised to see lots of palm trees had also been planted in the sand.

Thanks for taking the time

  8. Lovely page, the little girl looks very cute and the dandelion heads tie in really well to your sentiment; it transports me back to my childhood - if I remember correctly the number of puffs needed to blow the seeds from a dandelion is supposed to tell the time. I love it! Your photos are beautiful, I live near the seaside and never tire of the views. J :-)

  11. What a great picture, so soft and gentle, I can just see Time slipping away on a warm Summer's day.
I'd forgotten about telling the time with the dandelion clocks.
And the girl seems to be from another time.

    1. Thank you Sheila. Yes its quite a large windfarm, I think there are number of these along our uk east coast and we even have 5 large wind turbines on farmland I can see over the roof tops opposite me.
